I’m sure we all know the types of people we would DEFINITELY go on holiday with, and I’m more sure we know the types of people we would NEVER go on holiday with (I know you already have a couple people who popped into your mind – I won’t judge you).
The worst thing is travelling across the world with the wrong person or group, you could be in for a very “interesting” trip (not interesting in a good way). I’ve heard way too many stories of people going on holiday as friends and coming back as arch enemies; friends fighting each other and people going their separate ways whilst on holiday. These stories do not surprise me, it reminds me of the saying:
If you want to lose your friends quickly, go on holiday with them.
Whilst I do not agree with the statement 100%, I am smart enough to know that there are certain types people I would AVOID going on holiday with. I will list my top 7 below:
DISCLAIMER: There are some types of people I have listed below for light banter – do not be offended if you meet this criteria.
1) Moody Marks

These have to be the WORST people to go on holiday with. When you go on holiday with someone who is always moody, they will end up trying to dampen your mood too (I know right?! They just can’t be moody alone). It almost feels like there is a dark cloud hovering over you – you do not need this type of energy on your holiday. Tell’em Girl, BYE!
2) Close-Minded Cathy’s

These are individuals who are not open to trying new experiences, getting lost in the culture, mingling with the locals and meeting new people and so on and so forth. It can also limit the things you want to do in that country – you could end up being in a closed bubble with them and missing out on great experiences.
These type of people also like to eat at McDonalds or Burger King in another country (Joke and hypocrite alert: I sometimes eat McDonalds in a different country LOL).
3) Those Who Don’t Want To Spend Money

I know in everyday life we can all be pretty tight with money (heck, I’m one of them!). But the moment it comes to going on a holiday where you know activities will be involved like partying, cooking classes, tours, water sports etc – it does sometimes mean you would spend a bit more money than you would usually do. You have some people who refuse to spend a penny on any activity whilst on holiday (be it €5 or €50). I’m all here for trying to make my trips as cheap as possible, but I know there are some activities I would have to spend money a bit more money on for the experience.
4) Folks Who Don’t Know How To Act

These include folks who are ALWAYS ready to fight (for NO reason), those who refuse to respect the culture and laws of that particular country, those who be acting crazy or just being a menace to society.
EMBARRASSING!
Leave these people at home, or your facial expression will be like Chrissy’s throughout your trip.
5) Those Who Just Want To Sleep

There is SO MUCH TO EXPLORE, why waste all your time, money and energy just to go across the world to sleep/do nothing? Sometimes, these types of people will try to make you join them in doing nothing also – don’t fall for the trap! Get out, explore and come back to tell them all about it 😉
6) Folks Who Expect You To Know Everything

“What we doing today?” “Where can I buy souvenirs from?” “Buy me this” “How do we get to this place?”
First of all, I have never stepped foot in this country. Second of all, this is 2017 you have a smartphone and Google Maps.
7) Those Who Cannot Take Good Pictures

Have you ever been in a situation where end up taking AMAZING pictures of someone and then they take pictures of you and you end up looking all crazy with your double chin on show for the world. Like really bruh?

January 7, 2018 at 4:25 pmLmfao I actually laughed alone reading this post because I know a couple of people who are like this a d these are really absolutely the worst people to go on a trip with. Best thing to do is just go on a solo trip atleast then you don’t have to deal with nobody killing your vibe. Loved this post!
